GWAVA Certified Engineer Course:
In this course you will
learn how to install, administer, maintain, and support the Beginfinite
GWAVA 3 product. This course focuses on the latest release of GWAVA 3,
version 3.60.
Audience:
This course is designed for the
GroupWise Administrator. As a GroupWise Administrator you should be
familiar with how a GroupWise system works. This course will not go
into the GroupWise architecture nor provide detailed GroupWise
training; it is assumed that the student will know enough about how
GroupWise works so they can focus on how GWAVA enhances GroupWise and
how they can get the most from GWAVA.
Prerequisites:
Students should meet the following prerequisites to get the most from this course:
· Familiar with GroupWise administration
· Familiar with GroupWise message routing and delivery
· Familiar with the NetWare operating system
· Familiar with e-mail terms and functions
· Familiar with SMTP processes
GWAVA Overview:
GWAVA stands for GroupWise Anti-Virus Agent. GWAVA is used to enhance the
GroupWise messaging system. It is the only product that integrates into GroupWise
at the Domain (MTA) and Post Office levels. GWAVA version 3 provides much more
than virus scanning inside your GroupWise system; it also provides message
archiving, advanced spam control, attachment size and type blocking, and message
surveillance.
The unique power of GWAVA is that it integrates directly into GroupWise at the MTA
and Post Office levels. This means that, in addition to inbound and outbound Internet
email, GWAVA allows you to scan, monitor, and manage your internal GroupWise
mail as it is sent within the GroupWise system.
