I approached Belinda about setting up a website for her relatively new business.
Belinda graduated from Queen’s University with a major in linguistics and a minor in world languages. She also has a Master’s in Second Language Education through the University of Ottawa.
While Belinda had been teaching EASL (English As A Second Language) COVID restrictions dictated that a new method of teaching was in order.
Belinda is now self-employed and teaching online. Her English students live around the world. In order to receive payments for lessons an eCommerce website needed to be built that would allow taking payments from around the world.
Learn English With Belinda Uses The Following Modules
WordPress is the base for the entire website. View Lean English With Belinda
eCommerce was a must for Learn English With Belinda. Students are able to purchase and pay for lessons and lesson subscriptions with a credit card by connecting the website to Square.
I created a form to allow students to sign up to receive newsletters from Belinda with key information and any specials she decided to run. The form is connected to Mailchimp in order to gather a subscriber list and to send emails from.
We all know how important reviews are so I copied reviews that Belinda had already received to display them on the website. I also created a form so that students can submit reviews directly from the website.
In the future, Facebook and Google reviews can also be added.
Social Media Connections
Belinda posts a lot on Instagram so I connected her website to both Instagram and Facebook in order to pull in posts from both her Instagram account and her Facebook page.
This website has an Instagram feed, a newsletter subscription option, and reviews. There is even a form to request reviews of her work. This website also has an eCommerce component so that Belinda can collect payment from her students who live both locally, and globally.
Learn English With Belinda also has a connection to YouTube. This allows for learning videos to be embedded into posts and pages and keeps viewers on the website rather than directing them to YouTube.
Whether your business requires a simple website to sell just a handful of products or whether you need a full-blown online store. Give me a shout and I will help you out.
